Saturday's Breakast

have now decided that we will each choose a different venue in London to have breakfast every Saturday. It's an awesome way to start the weekend and its a great way of checking new places out but for the cheapest meal of the day.


Last week we hit the Garrison http://www.thegarrison.co.uk/ in London Bridge which was amazing. The place has such a great vibe that you could happily spend two hours nattering over an old favorite of boiled eggs & soldiers or possibly the best looking fruit salad you've seen! Of course drinking far to many coffees unnecessarily. The decor of the place makes it and you almost don't feel you have left your home as the staff and the relaxed atmosphere make it as comfortable as being tucked up on the sofa with a cuppa!

This week we tried the famous 'Bills'. Its recently opened in Covent Garden, tucked away and hidden from the main streets and defiantly a great little spot for a charming Saturday-morn catch up. However after the awesome success of Bills in Brighton I was a little disappointed......
The menu was lacking something, maybe it was a fruit and granola or just simply a normal veggie option rather than their take on a veggie breakfast which was; hummus, eggs, sweet chilli sauce, guacamole and toast?!?! I mean, what is that? Sweet chilli sauce at 9am in the morning is definitely not want i want to be thinking about let alone dipping my eggs into.
On the other hand, its a cool place with good juice and the breakfast did its job! I still the the Brighton Bills wins and I quite like the fact you can't book a table in Brighton, keeps it a bit more exciting. http://www.bills-website.co.uk/

£1 weddings? Cant be good for the wedding planner market....

On the @metro_weird website today - A British company have created the 'AutoWed Machine' which apparently can marry very luck (and very cheap it would seem) couples for less than a Londoner's '99p' ice-cream.......Shocking!


The machine not only marries the bride and groom but speaks to them asking questions such as; "are you lesbian?" "Best friends for ever?" Im sure pressing a button to answer a question one would normally have considered to be asked by a vicar would be more than a bizarre experience....

However, it turns out that the 'AutoWed' is not legally binding and it is purely there to help couples with pre-nervs of the real big day. (Maybe it should be introduced to the little white chapel in Vegas) Well thank the lord for that........I nearly considered changing my career path!
